Like in previous years (2023, 2024), IDLab-AIRO was present at the yearly dag van de wetenschap (science day) event held in the Ghent city library.

Tom Neutens and Natacha Gesquière demonstrated how Dwengo integrates AI and robotics into the curricula of secondary schools across Flanders and represented the WeGoSTEM initiative for primary education. Visitors also had the chance to teleoperate an SO-ARM robotic arm.

In addition, Toon Vandendriessche presented an application designed for sign language learners, which provides feedback on hand shape and location. His demo was briefly featured in a news item by the Flemish public broadcaster VRT.
