IDLab-AIRO was present at the yearly dag van de wetenschap (science day) event at the Ghent city library. We presented a prototype of the dictionary search system for Flemish Sign Language (VGT) developed based on our research.

Our booth was visited by many inquisitive children and adults. By interacting with our prototype, they could query the sign language dictionary and learn some VGT while doing so!

At IDLab-AIRO, we find outreach and dissemination of our scientific activities to the general public an essential part of what we do. For more information on outreach, have a look here.
